NATRIPAL (Nagkakaisang Tribu ng Palawan) is a province-wide Federation of Indigenous Peoples of Palawan. NATRIPAL was organized as a response to the long felt need of the indigenous communities to unite in order to address the problems of cultural integrity, tenurial security, economic exploitation and environmental abuse. At present, NATRIPAL is composed of over 60 local indigenous communities of Tagbanua, Pala'wan and Batak origin. NATRIPAL was formally established in 1989 but was officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 1991as a non-stock, non-profit non-sectarian and non-political organization.
One of the major programs of the federation is Enterprise Development wherein member-IPOs are assisted in establishing, managing and sustaining their community-based enterprises which are mostly non-timber forest products.
